A triangle is a polygon with three sides, three angles, and three vertices (corners).

Examples of Area of Triangle Questions !

Q24) Our in-house teaching materials SAP P5 Mock Exam 5 paper 1 Q24

Solution:

Formula of area of triangle = ½ x base x height

Base = 18 cm

Height = 8 cm

Area of triangle = ½ x 18 cm x 8 cm

                             = 72 cm²

Q14) P5_Maths_WA1_2024_RedSwastika_Exam_Papers

a) What is the area of triangle CDE ?

Solution:

Since ABCD is a square, all four sides must be equal in length.

Base = 10 cm

Height = 10 cm

Area of Triangle CDE = ½ x base x height

= ½ x 10 cm x 10 cm

                             = 50 cm²

b) What is the area of shaded part X ?

Solution:

Base = 10 cm

Height = 6 cm

Area of Triangle CDF = ½ x base x height

= ½ x 10 cm x 6 cm

                                      = 30 cm²

Therefore, area of shaded part X = Area of Triangle CDE - Area of Triangle CDF

                                     = 50 cm² - 30 cm²

= 20 cm²
